Government in Transition: a new LinkedIn political discussion group

Government in Transition: a new LinkedIn Political discussion group

Government in Transition is a discussion group on the LinkedIn website which has been established to discuss current political trends and the societal changes now occurring throughout the country. Recent revelations that Facebook is actively suppressing selective political commentary, especially conservative opinions, has caused many to seek other avenues to vent their thoughts. Facebook’s outright censorship is a consequence of its liberal leaning management. Twitter has also closed pages when they felt the information contained on them was not compatible with their own stated agenda. LinkedIn, as of this writing, has not displayed such an abuse of process. On the contrary, they invite commentary from an array of perspectives. Government in Transition seeks to bring together a variety of political and social commentary. Visitors to this discussion group will opine knowing their comments will not be censored in any manner or form. Cultural changes, inflicted on us by state and federal governing bodies, were ill-considered and there full ramifications have yet to come to fruition. From the social experiements in the military to the extreme redistribution of tax dollars, the mainstream media has treaded lightly on these subjects. With political entities working handed in hand with the left-wing media, discussion of these and other important issues do not receive the attention they deserve. Government in Transition is discussion group that allows people from all social, cultural and economic strata to come together and literally bang-heads on these topics. The manager of the group, Mark Davis MD, is endeavoring to draw media and government personnel into the mix to heighten the perspectives in the commentary. Yet, the most important commentary will be from those who make the country tick, people from outside the Washington D.C. beltway.  Politicians and and others who administer our society should be taken to task for the detriment they have caused this nation in the last decade, especially in the last five years. Government in Transition invites members of  LinkedIn to join and comment on the current political trends now engrossing the country. In the event you do not belong to LinkedIn, it is free and worth the time to join. People have a right to be heard, Government in Transition is one place your comments will receive an excellent airing and response. Mark Davis MD, platomd@gmail.com. Chasing Democracy: where has it gone

Chasing Democracy: where has it gone

Democracy has become an elusive term amongst those empowered to guard its basic principles. Historical references note when a country deviates from the foundations which made it strong, its downfall was not far behind. Edward Gibbon’s masterful work, The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, illustrates how weakness, social decay and over-taxation were the final hammers that caused this nation-state to dismember. Gibbon’s eighteenth century masterpiece would not be so different had he written about 21st century America. Shadows similar to those cast by Rome’s toxic management of its populous, are evident in our present day society. America’s military once had the ability to fight wars on multiple fronts, has been diminished by a central government that puts our defense last. Our border protection has now become a convenient joke for the denizens of late night media. Men have been demasculinized, replaced with the embodiment of a unisexual being whose efficacy falls short of his original form. The nuclear family structure, once the strongest institution in the nation, has degenerated into single parent households with the government’s blessings. Divisive leadership has stirred up race hatred, economic bigotry and partitioned communities leaving desolation behind. Detroit exemplifies the collective elements of the latter circumstances. Taxation has become the folly of the fools that govern us no matter where they sit. Unable to bring economic leadership to the forefront, their only answer is more taxes. Recently, a huge tax increase was inflicted on the nation by an Administration whose ineptitude does not allow it to master the budgetary process. Decreased spending is an anathema to those who must use economic parlor tricks to stay in power. The same Administration also orchestrated the sequestration in exchange for a higher debt ceiling, now chides the opposing party for its results. No matter where you look, the underpinnings of America Democracy have been derided, diluted and or extinguished from view. Weakness, overregulation, economic duress and immorality define the embodiment of today’s America. As a result of the pandemonium moving through society from these deficiencies, socialism a distant cousin to democracy, has emerged to take hold of our institutions. Revitalization of democratic principles will take a person with the inner strength and versatility to confront  the insidious maneuvers now occurring in the back corridors of Washington, that person is yet to be defined. Mark Zuckerberg's Facebook declares war on conservatism

Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook declares war on conservatism

Conservative thought on Facebook is being constantly censored under the watchful eyes of its founder, Mark Zuckerberg.  Complaints concerning this liberal giant are spread over thousands of internet pages. They have one theme in common, the greatest majority of them are from conservative minded individuals. Zuckerberg’s henchmen carefully monitor zillions of pages that make up Facebook. They go into attack mode when they sense a conservative page or in the event a conservative posts his or her ideas on several other pages. With minimal warning, the conservative commentator is blocked from commenting on others pages from days to weeks. Facebook’s excuse is these individuals or groups are spamming others. Diligently reviewing this issue, the evidence leans away from Facebook’s claims. In the last several days, my account came under assault from Facebook’s Ministry of Selected Truth. Since I have no commercial interests to relate to others, this could not be the reason for their assertions of spamming. Yet my conservative bent may have annoyed someone out there in liberal-land, who may have reported one of my posts as spam. In an attempt to clear my good name, I contacted Facebook, but to no avail. The management will not condescend to discuss any issues with us mere plebeians. Without resolution, my Facebook account is nearly worthless, because I am not allowed to comment on others pages. Censorship’s evil grip has infected Facebook. Its unkind grasp is aimed at only one group, conservatives. Several internet searches failed to find any liberals complaining of Facebook’s dirty hands on their pages. Recently, Mark Zuckerberg was seen with the President for several photo-ops, energizing the public’s mind of his political penchant. Knowledge of Facebook’s compliance with the government is even more profound because it provides this bureaucracy with information on users with the touch of a button. Facebook’s transformation into a very cooperative extended arm of the government is chilling because of the enormous amount of data it has collected on its users. Knowing that it monitors conservative thought and its hierarchy is close with the present Administration is very troubling. These facts alone should be a red light for anyone using its pages. A wise user of Facebook should post minimal information about themselves on this site. A wiser person would move on. Mark Davis MD, platomd@gmail.com,
